Donated to me!

Donated to me!

Natalie Lambert

Volunteer Junkie. PTSO Mom. Project Manager.

The idea of donating dresses and formal wear is certainly not a new concept, but it is one that is severely lacking in Santa Rosa County, FL. As a proud PTSO mom of a junior at Pace High School in Pace, FL, I recognize the exorbitant costs associated with attire for dances. Through my work at Navy Federal Credit Union on the School Partnerships Committee, I have gained a deep awareness of the many underserved students in the district. As a former foster child who benefited from dress donation drives several times, I have a passion to fill this need in our community in a more organized way, and with a larger outreach. We need a MOVEMENT.

Contributing to dress drives the past several years renewed a desire to help others as I was helped. In 2020, while people were home during Covid cleaning out closets instead of going to a traditional office, my neighbors and friends started to bring me formal wear for donation drives. Formal dresses and suits for interviews just kept turning up. By Fall 2021, I had almost 20 dresses land at my door for me to "do something with for someone in need." That was enough for me to realize, the time to move is now. Will you join me?
